Mary Thorp’s artwork is the result of manipulating spontaneously taken digital photographs. The landscape-inspired images engage the viewer, evoking an emotive response to the sparse forms and intense colours. Her work as an artist is a very recent career development: she is better known as a considered and thoughtful designer with a life-long passion for renovating buildings and environments.
Mary Thorp is a member of the Chartered Society of Designers, and has worked in the field of workplace interior design for many years. However, whatever design context she is working in, her passion is the interplay of space, light and colour.
